Medical Administrative Assistant
Students in Carrington College’s Medical Administrative Assistant program prepare to work in medical offices. Sacramento and California’s Central Valley, they will act as the face of the practice, often working with patients, scheduling appointments and manning the phones.

Students in Carrington College’s Dental Assisting program begin with a broad base of knowledge on subjects ranging from anatomy of the head and mouth to sterilization techniques to front-office operations. Students’ progress to learning specific skills and building their understanding of dental procedures performed in dental offices. As they near the end of their studies, Dental Assisting students complete an externship.

Class instruction combines theory and practice to meet the competencies needed to be a medical biller and coder. Students learn to accurately interpret medical records and code the information for submission to insurance companies.

Veterinary technicians work in all phases of animal care, including surgical nursing, laboratory procedures, and office administration.
