Associate of Science in Health Administration Services (Online)

In this program you'll have the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills used on the administrative side of the healthcare industry. The Associate of Science in Health Administration Services (ASHAS) is designed to help you become familiar with the healthcare delivery system and develop essential supervision and interpersonal skills. Ultimately, you should acquire a well-rounded understanding of healthcare finance, human resources, healthcare administration, reimbursement systems and healthcare records, as well as regulatory, ethical, and legal issues affecting healthcare organizations.

While our emphasis is on teaching administrative skills that can help you get started in the field of healthcare administration, this program can also give you the foundation needed to continue on for a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration. In addition, the AS in Health Administration Services program is designed to prepare students to take the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam.

One of the benefits of the ASHAS program is the Career Advantage Program. The Career Advantage Program (CAP) is designed exclusively for ASHAS students to facilitate better career planning, decision making and employment opportunities. CAP provides a variety of innovative ways for students to investigate their desired career field and interact with professionals working in healthcare and related occupations.
